William D. Parsons Sr., 80

DELMAR - William D. Parsons Sr., age 80, of Delmar, died on Aug. 30, 2009, at Life Care of Lofland Park. He was born in Laurel, a son of the late William C. Parsons and Malva C. Parsons. His family cherishes his memory for his love of collecting old coins, enjoyment of reading and needlecraft work. He is survived by his wife of almost 60 years Carolyn Parsons of Delmar; their children, William Parsons Jr., Linda Orendorff, Ruth Manno, Mary Parsons. He is also survived by his four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He is also preceded in death by a grandchild. A Funeral Service will be 11 a.m., today, Sept. 3, at the Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home, Laurel. The Pastor Ruth Tull will officiate. Interment will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Laurel.
