William A. Talbot, 88

MILTON - William A. Talbot, of Milton, passed away Friday, April 11, 2008, in the Delaware Veterans Home. He was 88.

William was the beloved husband of the late Bertha L. (Nee Clayton) Talbot.

He was born in Philadelphia, son of the late William R. and Anna (Mattern) Talbot.

William was a resident of Delaware for the past four years and was formerly a resident of Hatboro, Pa.

He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in World War II, and was the first resident of the Delaware Veterans Home.

William was employed most of his life as a tool and die maker and retired in 1983.

He was preceded in death by a son, William A. Talbot Jr.

William is survived by a daughter, Elsie Connor; two sons, Edward Talbot and his wife Linda of Florida and James Talbot and his significant other Sharon of Milton; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends will be received by his family from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday in Schneider Funeral Home, 431 N. York Road, Hatboro, and are invited to attend his funeral service at 1 p.m.

Interment will follow in Rosedale Memorial Park, Bensalem, Pa.
