Willard M. 'Bill' Schreck FELTON - Willard M. "Bill" Schreck, of Felton, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2010, at Westminster Village Medical Center, following a short illness. He was 84. Willard was born in Broomhall, Pa., son of the late Martin Grover and Andora (Melvin) Schreck. He had lived in Milford and later moved to Felton. Willard enjoyed working outside and taking care of his yard. He was very proud of his garden, his delicious red tomatoes were a favorite. He enjoyed supplying his home grown produce to residents of the Felton area. He also enjoyed horse racing and shooting pool. Willard had various jobs over the years which included truck driving for Sunbeam Bread Company in Harrington, delivery driver for Dover Plumbing, bartending in various establishments in the Felton and Harrington area, and working as a clerk at local liquor stores. In addition to his parents, his wife, Blanche (Godwin) Schreck, preceded him in death in 2003. He is survived by a son, John A. Schreck and wife Kathie, of Warwick, R.I.; daughter, Donna M. Andrews and husband Joe of Dover; a sister, Myrtle Ellingsworth of Ellendale; brother, Jimmy Melvin of Milford; nephew, Ronnie Ellingsworth, also of Ellendale; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be 1 p.m., Friday, Jan. 15, in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, Main Street, Felton, where friends may call after noon. Burial will be in Hopkins Cemetery, Felton. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Westminster Village, 1175 McKee Road, Dover, DE 19901.
