Willanna M. Baker

TOWNSEND - Willanna M. Baker, of Townsend, formerly of Dover, passed away on Thursday, Jun. 22, 2017, at Kent General Hospital in Dover.
Born Dec. 10, 1941, and raised in Port Penn, Willanna worked for many years at Hercules in Middletown.
She loved fishing, crabbing, and working on all kinds of puzzles. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest C. Baker, Jr.
She is survived by her children, Ernest C. Baker, III of Tulsa, Okla., Cynthia A. Thompson and her husband Terry of Hartly, David Baker and his wife Susan of Smyrna, and Marian Taylor and her husband Jim of Laurel; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her brothers, Francis Poore and his wife Holly and William Poore and his wife Susie, both of Port Penn; her twin sister, Mary Anna Spicer of Townsend; her sister, Louise Roemer and her husband William of Port Penn; and many special relatives and close friends.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, Jun. 27, 2017, from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 S. Main Street in Smyrna. Memorial services will begin at 11 a.m. Burial will be privately held.
