Whitehaven celebration planned Saturday

On Saturday, July 3, the village of Whitehaven will hold its traditional Independence Day Celebration.

The lineup for the parade through town will begin at 1 p.m., with the actual parade starting at 2 p.m.

There will be fire trucks, antique cars and trucks, and members of the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office.

A hHot dog, chips and a drink will be available for $2; there will also be snow cones and more.

The Community Yard Sale begins as soon as the parade ends.

Fried Fish Sandwiches for Sale

The public is invited to a Fish Fry on Saturday, July 3, at 11 a.m. at the Queen City Elks Lodge, 230 Catherine St., in Salisbury.

Sandwiches will be sold for $7.

Beverages will also be available for sale.

There will be a disc jockey and a Basket of Cheer & Cash Raffle, with tickets selling for $5.

Proceeds will benefit the Queen City Elks Lodge House Committee.
