Weather impacts testing and vaccination appointments in Delaware

Numerous COVID-19 testing and vaccination appointments were affected by Monday’s winter weather.

Curative closed all of its Delaware testing locations on Monday. Patients who had Monday appointments at Curative testing sites will be able to test today, but must show proof of their Monday appointment.

These appointments are valid at any Curative site today, even if it is a different site than what was scheduled for Monday. To accommodate Monday’s appointments, Curative will not be allowing any walk-in testing today at all of its locations.

The Delaware Division of Public Health closed its COVID-19 vaccination sites (Blue Hen Corporate Center in Dover, Georgetown Plaza, Wilmington’s Canby Park and Oxford/University Plaza in Newark), its public health clinics and all state service centers on Monday.

Those who had COVID-19 testing scheduled for Monday at one of these sites should check their email for updates. A list of testing sites is available at de.gov/gettested and Curative.com.

Vaccination appointments can be made at de.gov/getmyvaccine or by contacting local pharmacies.

Walgreen was forced to cancel COVID-19 testing at three locations on Monday, 1508 Philadelphia Pike in Wilmington, 18993 Munchy Branch Road in Rehoboth and 9202 Commercial Centre Drive in Bridgeville. New appointments can be made on Walgreens website.
