DOVER - Wanda Jean McKinney, of Dover, passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2014, after a long and courageous battle with Cancer. Wanda was born on June 27, 1955 in Dover. She is survived by her loving parents, Paul and Violet McKinney; siblings, Paula Chidester (David), Cheryl Pierce, and Daniel McKinney (Sally). She also leaves behind her niece, Breanna Pierce; and nephews, Branden Pierce, and Bryan, Andrew, and Christopher McKinney; special aunts, Janice Walls and Jean Burke; and her extended family. Wanda was preceded in death by her grandparents, Myrtle Flowers, Otto and Hazel Balke, and her aunt, Carolyn Balke. Wanda was a hard worker and enjoyed people. She was employed for many years as a waitress at Kirby and Holloway, and as a hostess at the Countrie Eatery. She will be greatly missed by her customers and dear friends. Wanda had several hobbies, including NASCAR, and collecting teddy bears. She also loved going to concerts, and enjoyed listening to country music. Wanda cherished spending time surrounded by her family and beloved pets. A Funeral Service will be 4 p.m., Monday, March 24, 2014, at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden Wyoming Ave. Wyoming, DE 19934. Friends may call one hour prior. Burial will follow services at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden. Letters of condolences can be sent via www.pippinfuneralhome.com
