Walton Seeney

DOVER - Walton Seeney passed away, Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017 at Christiana Hospital.
Mr. Seeney was born Jun. 26, 1931 in Greenwich, N.J. to the late Mason F. Seeney, Sr. and Lydia Ann Hughes Seeney.
He worked as an equipment operator for General Foods for almost 27 years. Mr. Seeney enjoyed fishing, going to Spence's Bazaar on Tuesday's and Friday evenings, and spending time with his several foster children.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by son, Russell Allen Seeney; his brothers, Mason F. Seeney, Jr., Mortimer Seeney and Perry S. Seeney; sisters, Martha and Leona Seeney; stepsons, Roger and Edward Caldwell.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Rubie Whitehead Seeney of Dover; step-son, Herbert Caldwell of Dover; Foster son, Rick Polk of Elsmere; step-daughter, Connie Morris of Dover; sister, Mary Ellen Gonzalez of Cheswold; close friends, Lloyd Zicafoose, Marie Garrison, Billie Heller and David Larimore; step-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday evening and one hour prior to service on Saturday. Interment will be held at Immanuel Union United Methodist Cemetery, Cheswold.
Flowers maybe sent or donations sent to Seasons Hospice, 220 Continental Drive, Newark, DE 19713.
