Walter Webb, of Milford, passed away Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011 at home. He was 95. Mr. Webb was born in Ellendale, son of the late George F. and Mary V. (Donovan) Webb. He was a contractor in the housing industry and had served in the US Army. Several years ago, he was an over-the-road truck driver and had been a member of the Teamsters Union. Walter enjoyed riding motorcycles, hunting, traveling and gardening and loved animals. He was a former member of the Redmen. In addition to his parents, Walter was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline (Simpson) Webb. He is survived by five children, Jessie Webb and Joyce, Janet Lane and Jerre, Terrence Webb and Dianne, all of Milford, Carol Apgar and Mike, of Dover and Mary Xava Kaye and James, of Nassawadox, Va.; 17 grandchildren; and 39 great grandchildren. Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 8, 2011 in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front Street, Milford with visitation after 12 p.m. Burial will be in Milford Community Cemetery, Milford.
