W. Paul Hearn

GEORGETOWN - W. Paul Hearn passed away on Sunday, Jan. 17, 2016. Paul was born the son of the late Wallace and Sallie (Givens) Hearn. Paul was a Diesel Engineer for Getty Fleet Corp. and Sun Oil Corp. He volunteered for Meals On Wheels and the Robin Hood Thrift Shop of Georgetown for several years. In addition to both parents, Paul was preceded in death by a sister Janet King and brothers Melvin, Lloyd and Jack Hearn. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Leah West Hearn, daughter and son-in-law Susan and Captain Michael G. Badorf, two grandchildren, who were the joy of his life, Steven G. and Leah M. Badorf, all of Amelia Island, Fla.; sister, Jeanne Amling of Auburn, Ala. and brother, James N. Hearn and wife Brenda of Quantico, Md. and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A Celebration of Paul's life will be held 12:00 noon Thursday, Jan. 21, 2016 at the Sussex Pines Country Club, 22426 Sussex Pines Road, Georgetown Del. 19947. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Paul's memory to Grace United Methodist Church, Memo: Building Maintenance Fund, 7 S. King Street, Georgetown Del. 19947.
