W L (Doug) Huffstutler, 85

    W L (Doug) Huffstutler retired Master Sergeant U.S.A.F. was reunited with the love of his life, his sugar babe, wife Pauline on April 24, 2025, with his loving family and friends by his side.
    Doug was born on August 23, 1939, to the late Samuel and Emma (Hogeland). Doug served 24 years in the United States Air Force retiring in August of 1986. While in the military, Doug served in Vietnam and the Philippines. Bayada Hospice gave Doug a pinning ceremony for his military service on April 14, 2025, with a small reunion following. After Doug retired from the Air Force, he worked at Reichold Chemical in Cheswold, DE and retired after 16 years. Doug worked for numerous security companies over the years. In his spare time, Doug enjoyed going to storage auctions/sales with his best friend Dave Rust. Doug enjoyed going to the Main Street Café and The Harvest Diner where he loved to give the waitresses a hard time.
    In addition to his Wife & parents, he was proceeded in death by his Grandson, James Douglas (JD) Huffstutler and Great Granddaughter Brielle Orvis both of Delaware, his sister Marion Powell of Ohio and an infant brother and sister Stanley and Elaine of Alabama.
    Doug is survived by his daughter and caregiver Charlotte Truitt (Bill) of Felton, DE, his 2 sons Douglas Huffstutler (Tammy) of Camden, DE and Eric Huffstutler of Frederica, DE. Brothers Hugh Huffstutler (Beth) of Alabama and David Huffstutler (Sandy) of Texas, 2 sisters, Phyllis Myrick (Ricky) and Brenda Glover all of Alabama. Doug is also survived by his Grandchildren, Aimee Kaczorowski (Dave) of Frederica DE, Paul (Tommy) Huffstutler of Felton, DE, Corey (CJ) Orvis (Heather) of Camden, DE, Nathan Jacobs (Savannah) of Dover, DE, Kayden Huffstutler of West Virginia and Logan Huffstutler of Lincoln, DE. Great-grandchildren, Justin, Cole and Cohen Orvis of Camden, DE.
    A memorial service will take place on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at 11:00am with services following at 12:00pm at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 East Lebanon Road, Dover, DE. After the service, Doug will be taken to the Veterans Cemetery where he will have full Military Service at 2:00pm.
    Flowers are welcomed but the family asks for donations to be made to Bayada Hospice, 4250 Lancaster Pike, Suite 308, Wilmington, DE 19805.
    The family would like to thank Bayada Hospice for the excellent care they provided Dad.
