Virginia Theresa Christensen

Christensen, 83 CAMDEN - Virginia (Ginny) Theresa Christensen passed away at Kent General Hospital on Saturday, July 6, 2013 after a short illness. Born and raised in Brooklyn, N.Y., Ginny moved to Dover in 1974 with her husband and family. Wife, mother and grandmother, Ginny was married to husband, Harold Paul (Chris) Christensen for more than sixty years. Mother to Harold Paul Christensen III of West Grove, Pa., Mark Weir Christensen of Williamsburg, Va., and the late Anna Karen Christensen; and grandmother of Luke William and Anja Marie Christensen. Ginny was an active member of Holy Cross Parish, where her ministry activity included volunteer assistance to the homeless. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and spending time with her grandchildren. Viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at the Funeral Home of Michael J. Ambruso, 1175 S. State St. Dover. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Holy Cross Church, 631 S. State Street, Dover, on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at 10 a.m. Interment will be at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Huntington, New York. Condolences may be made via www.ambruso.com
