Virginia 'Vergie' Russell Jones
DOVER - Virginia "Vergie" Russell Jones, of Dover, passed away on Friday, Sept. 4, 2009, at the Delaware Hospital for the Chronically Ill, Smyrna. She leaves to cherish her memory and love, son, Avender Jones Jr. and wife Karen of Townsend; daughter, Mildred Jones Dolley and husband Joseph of Dover; sister, Louvenia Mitchell and husband George of Townsend; 19 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 33 great-great-grandchildren; one great-great-great-grandson; a devoted granddaughter, Dawn Townsend; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 12, at Mt. Olive Pentecostal Church, 139 N. East St., Smyrna, where a viewing will be two hours prior.
