Virgil Edison Chance, 95
DOVER - Virgil Edison Chance passed away April 7, 2023, at Dover Place Retirement Community. Virgil was born on February 11, 1928, in Curtis, OK, the son of Raleigh & Ella Chance.
Soon after High School Mr. Chance enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corp. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after over 20 years of service. He later worked 20 years for Suburban Propane. When not at work, Virgil could be found woodworking, flying model airplanes, or spending time with family.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Joyce; and second wife, Loretta; and his siblings, Lela & Verlon.
He is survived by his children, Theresa Hisey, Jennifer Wilson (Glenn), Richard Wilson (Judy), Freida Livingston (Kevin) & Cynthia Marvel (Todd); grandson, Greg Hisey; siblings, nieces, nephews extended family and friends.
Funeral Service Monday, April 17, 2023, 1 pm at Pippin Funeral Home, Wyoming, DE, where friends may visit beginning at 11 am. Interment with military honors to follow at Barratt's Chapel Cemetery, Frederica, DE.
