Vince Losonczy Vetter, born August 16, 1921 in Budapest, Hungary, passed February 22, 2009 in Erd, Hungary. Vince, a fearless optimist, escaped communist Hungary in 1958 to live the American Dream. Vince realized the promise of this country in Dover, Delaware where he founded, with his wife Carol, Westside Pharmacy, proudly serving friends and neighbors throughout the 1970s and 1980s. Vince was a renaissance man, gifted in athletics, multiple languages, sculpture, carving and painting. In his last years, he lived a beautiful life with his sister Anna "Anni" Mathé, in the quaint hamlet of Erd, Hungary, where he enjoyed pursuing his art, gardening and sunbathing. Always with a smile, and never knowing a stranger, Vince deeply loved his family. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother and father and survived by his beloved daughter, Moira Vetter; grandchildren whom he watches over from heaven, Vivian and Leo; twin brother, John Losonczy and his wife Marta; niece, Dr. Marta "Marcy" Losonczy-Marshall and John "J.P." Losonczy. His dear sister Anni passed away in January of 2014. A Mass and Services for Vince and his sister Anni will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at the Saint Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 535 Riverside Drive, Salisbury, MD 21801. Graveside services will follow at 1:00pm at Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover, Delaware 19904, the resting place of his mother Anna Losonczy.
