Victoria M. De Blasi, 86 DOVER - Victoria M. De Blasi, age 86, of Dover, died Jan. 25, 2010, at Bay Health Medical, Dover. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Mrs. De Blasi had worked as a Stenographer with the Hartford Ins. Co. until her retirement in 1988. She had lived in Edgewood, Md., prior to moving to the Dover area in 2004. Mrs. De Blasi had been a faithful member of Holy Cross Church and had a passion for cooking & baking along with candy making. In her quieter moments she enjoyed reading and the company of her family. A dedicated wife, mother and grandmother, she will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Ralph M. De Blasi who died in 2004. Mrs. De Blasi leaves her son, Ralph and dedicated daughter-in-law Christa De Blasi of Hartly; two granddaughters, Angela Marie Koslowski and husband John of Conowingo, Md., and Tamara J. Tranthum and husband William of Dover; along with her best friend, Judy Kawaja of Joppa, Md. Friends may call at 9:30 a.m., Friday, Jan. 28, at the Funeral Home of Michael J. Ambruso, 1175 S. State St., Dover. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 a.m., Friday, in Holy Cross Catholic Church, S. State St., Dover. Interment will be private in Holy Cross Cemetery. Condolences and Guest Book signings may be made via www.ambruso.com.
