LINCOLN - Vester Lee Rue, age 84, of Lincoln, died Sunday, June 5, 2011, at her residence surrounded by her family members after a lengthy illness. Vester was born May 2, 1927, in Parksley, Va., to the late Nathaniel Bailey and Lillie Mae Duffy. Vester was predeceased by her husband, Preston. For many years Vester worked at Clifton canning, King Cole, and Townsend Poultry Processing in Millsboro. Vester was a member of Union Baptist Church in Lincoln. Survivors include one grandchild, Prestina Johnson; two great-grandchildren, Joycelynn and Jeineil Johnson, all of Lincoln; on brother, Nelson Fisher of Milford; one sister, Rosa Lee Brownlee of Parksley, Va.; and her devoted cousin and caretakers, Heyward A. and Earline White of Lewes. Services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, June 11, 2011, at Union Baptist Church, Greentop Road, Lincoln. Friends may call at the church Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and two hours before service on Saturday. Arrangements by Robert W. Miller Funeral Services, 302-424-1400.
