SUDLERSVILLE, Md. - Tyler James Mills, of Sudlersville, died Monday, Sept. 7, 2009, at A.I. Dupont Children's Hospital in Wilmington. He was 5 years old. Born March 10, 2004, in Dover, Del., he was the son of Sarah Mills and Jason Cox. Tyler attended school in Centreville where he was much loved by his teachers and peers. "Ty" had a smile for everyone he came in contact with and you couldn't help but smile when you were around him. Tyler battled his disabilities his whole life and he fought for as long as he could. He will be greatly missed by all. Ty's strength was an encouragement to everyone he came in contact with. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jimmy Cox; and two uncles, Buddy and Danny Cox. Ty is survived by his mother, Sarah Mills of Sudlersville; his father, Jason Cox of Magnolia, Del.; his maternal grandparents, Roger and Wendi Mills; his paternal grandmother, Maude Baker of Magnolia; his great-grandmothers, Marjorie Warrington and Paula Warrington; and great-great-grandmothers, Roberta Dean, Nettie Clovette and Kitty Warrington; and several aunts and uncles including Bonnie and Eddie Schelts, Katie Mills, David and Jen Mills, Samantha Mills, Mikey and Nina Cox, Robert and Glenda Cox, Robert Cox Jr. and Kevin and Spencer Cox, and Tara and Matt Yates. Services will be noon, Saturday, Sept. 12, at Calvary Asbury United Methodist Church, Sudlersville. A visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., today, Sept. 11, also at the church. Interment will be held in Sharon Hills Memorial Park in Dover. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Tyler's memorial fund c/o Peoples Bank, P.O.
