Two vehicles, occupied house damaged by gunfire in Dover

DOVER — Two vehicles and an occupied house were damaged in a shooting incident on Sunday, Dover Police spokesman Master Cpl. Ryan Schmid said.

According to authorities, investigation began at 3:36 p.m. with a shots fired call on Barrister Place. Officers responded to the 400 block and and located several spent shell casings in the area, police said.

Police determined that a white Honda Accord drove onto Barrister Place and an unknown suspect or suspects began firing several shots striking a residence that was occupied by a 68-year-old Dover man, and two unoccupied vehicles. The vehicle then left the area, police said.

No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

Police asked anyone with information to call 302-736-7130. Callers may remain anonymous.
