MILFORD — Milford Police Department is investigating two shootings early Friday morning that are believed to be connected, spokesman Detective Dwight Young said.

According to authorities, the first report of gunshots occurred at the Brightway Commons Apartment Complex at approximately 2:15 a.m.

Investigation found that an unknown male, standing outside of one of the apartment buildings, fired multiple rounds directly into one of the lower level apartments, police said.

There was reportedly one occupant actually inside of the residence at the time. The gunshots struck the walls inside the apartment, the occupant was not injured.

A short time later, police said, a second report of gunshots was in the area Mispillion Apartments. The investigation revealed that a vehicle in that area was struck multiple times with gunshots.

The occupant of the vehicle was not injured.

Police asked anyone with information to contact Det. John Horsman or Det. Young at the Milford PD at 422-8081 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333 or www.tipsubmit.com or submit tips thru the MyPD app.
