Maryland State Police are continuing to investigate a three-vehicle accident that killed two people and injured five more late last Thursday.
Police said Stans Antonio Handy Jr., 19, and T’Yana Renee Trader, 20, were killed.
Handy was pronounced dead at the scene. Trader was transported to Peninsula Regional Medical Center with life-threatening injuries and later died, police said.
The accident occurred at 9:11 p.m. on April 11, when a car driven by Kiana Heleen Baber, 19, of Salisbury, heading west on Route 50 at Marquis Avenue and with Handy and Trader as passengers, crossed into the eastbound lanes of Route 50, hitting two other cars.
Both passengers in Baber's car were ejected from the vehicle.
Baber was transported to a shock trauma center, police said.
Passengers in the other vehicles were transported to the hospital. They included Jeffery Landers Manley II, 35, of Salisbury, and Patricia Gail Lee, 68, of Salisbury, police said.
The Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office, Salisbury Fire Department and Maryland Department of Transportation are assisting in the investigation, police said.
