Two Dover players make first-team All-State

DOVER - Last weekend, Dorell Little, Jr. and Denim Perkins led Dover High to its first DIAA state title in boy's basketball.
 
Today, the two seniors were rewarded for their performance all season by being named first-team All-State on the Delaware Sportswriters & Broadcasters Association squd.
 
For Little, it was his second-straight appearance on the first team. Dover finished the season 23-2, winning its last 15 games and also capturing the Henlopen Conference title.
 
Perkins and Little combined to score 47 points in the Senators' 56-53 win over Sallies in the state finals. Perkins also had 18 assists in Dover's semifinal and finals' wins.

The two Senators were joined on the first team by St. Elizabeth's Aiden Tobiasen, who was named the state Player of the Year, William Penn's Jaylin Horsey and Salesianum's Kareem Thomas.
 
A total of six Henlopen Conference boys' players were honored altogether.
 
On the girls' team, the top Downstate honoree was Woodbridge senior Reghan Robinson, who made second-team All-State. The first team was made up of private-school players from New Castle County.
 
Nine Henlopen Conference players were honored in total on the girls' team.
