DOVER — Two Dover residents were arrested after a drug investigation Tuesday, Dover Police said.
According to spokesman Master Cpl. Ryan Schmid, at 5:29 p.m. officers assisted Delaware Probation and Parole, who had been conducting an investigation Rachel Casas, 29, and Daniel Walmer, 26, with an administrative search of a Days Inn hotel room.
Ms. Casas and Mr. Walmer were taken into custody without incident and a search of the room they were associated with revealed 126 bags of heroin, $1,150, 56 doses of amphetamine pills, 1 gram of crystal methamphetamine, and a 9mm handgun, police said.
Ms. Casas was charged with possession offenses including firearm during the commission of a felony, firearm by a person prohibited, amphetamines in a Tier 1 quantity and controlled substance (two counts) and second-degree conspiracy. She was released on $28,500 unsecured bail.
Mr. Walmer was charged with possession of amphetamines in a Tier 1 quantity, possession of a controlled substance (two counts) and second-degree conspiracy. He was released on $2,300 unsecured bail.
