MILLINGTON, Md. - Tracy William Bowden, of Millington, died on Tuesday, August 10, 2010, at Anchorage Nursing and Rehab in Salisbury. He was 77 years old. Born on July 12, 1933, in Odd, W.Va., he was the son of the late Mark and Macy Fowley Bowden. Mr. Bowden served his country in the U.S. Army and served and injured in the Korean War, he was honorably discharged in 1953. Tracy was a member of the Church of God in Centreville, as well as a member of the Crumpton Senior Center. He enjoyed traveling, coaching little league and loved horses. Tracy also loved spending time and going out to dinner with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Bennie Bowden; and his first wife, Arleen Hollet Bowden. Tracy is survived by his daughters, Macy Shahan and Gretchen Goulet; his sons, Tracy Bowden, Jr. and Toby Bowden; his brothers, Jack and Mark Bowden Jr.; and his sisters, Frances Lewis, Pauline Bowden and Helen Boyer. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and four great, great-grandchildren. Friends and family may call on Sunday, August 15, 2010, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home in Millington, where a service will be held on Monday, August 16, 2010, at 2 p.m. Interment in Crumpton Cemetery.
