DOVER — Zuri Matthews netted 13 points to pace Early College to a 36-34 victory over Lake Forest in Henlopen South girls’ basketball on Thursday night.

The Hornets held a 22-17 lead going into the fourth quarter before holding off the Spartans.

Mia Peacock added 13 rebounds, seven steals and four blocked shots for Early College, which is 4-1 in the South, 8-1 overall.

Lake Forest is 3-2 in the South, 7-2 overall.
