Carroll, 49 LEWES - Thomas Raymond Carroll passed away at home on Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2014. He was the son of Beverly and Richard Merchant of Harrington. Mr. Carroll worked as a purchasing agent for Seawatch for over 23 years and was part owner of Harrington Appliance. A family man that always put his family first, Mr. Carroll adored his mom, enjoyed gatherings with his brothers, and spent as much time as he could with his grandkids. He is described as "always having a smile", very outgoing, well liked and enjoyed making people laugh. Mr. Carroll enjoyed watching NASCAR and his favorite driver was Mark Martin. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion and a former member of the Harrington Moose. He will be sadly missed by his close family and countless friends. In addition to his parents he is survived by his daughter, Linda (Jeremy) Minner of Frederica; stepson, Robert Lankford, Jr.; fiance, Mary Plummer of Lewes; grandchildren Robert Lankford III, Rebecca Lankford, Katie Lankford, Andrew Minner and Karis Minner; siblings Wayne Carroll (Sheila Squier) of Harrington, Jeff (Marty) Carroll of Richmond, Va., Robert "Bob" Carroll (Stacey) of Marydel, Md. and Rick (Julie) Merchant of Harrington. Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 21, 2014 with visitation one hour prior at Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 S. DuPont Hwy. Harrington. Arrangements are by the Thomas E.
