MAGNOLIA - Thomas Henry Wooleyhand Sr., of Magnolia, died Sunday, Jan. 11, 2009, at home. He was 71. He was born March 28, 1937, in Greensboro, Md. to the late Otis Henry and Florence Elizabeth Ross Wooleyhand. Mr. Wooleyhand worked as a farmer at Goldinger's Farm, was a truck driver for Cupid Ice Cream and worked for 25 years for Johnson Controls, from 1974 to 1999. He was a member of Camden-Wyoming Loyal Order of the Moose 203, from 1974 to present. He bowled for many years on the Moose League and Johnson Controls League in Dover. He loved gardening, fishing and cooking for his friends and family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward George Wooleyhand, and Elwood Lacy Wooleyhand; and one granddaughter, Dawn Nicole Wooleyhand. He is survived by the mother of his children, Eva Mae Wooleyhand of Frederica; four sons, Kenneth Wooleyhand and wife Brenda of Cheswold, Thomas Wooleyhand Jr. and wife Lola of Felton, Wayne Wooleyhand and wife Jeannette of Thomasville, Pa., and Charles Lee Wooleyhand and wife Linda of Dover; one daughter, Rose Marie Mallery and husband Larry of Little Heaven; five brothers, Paul Wooleyhand of Dover, Otis Henry Wooleyhand of Ridgely, Md., Elmer Wooleyhand and wife Brenda of Smyrna, William Wooleyhand and wife Maxine of Sykesville, Md., and Wilson Wooleyhand and wife Goldie of Denton, Md.; six sisters, Mary Catherine Greeson and husband Don of Ridgely, Md., Betty Wooleyhand of Denton, Md., Ruth Anna Bolt and husband Marvin of Seaford, Barbara Andrews of Church Hill, Md., Lizzie Thompson and husband Jimmy of Greensboro, Md., and Jeannie Jarrell and husband John of Greensboro, Md.; close friend, Bill Jones of Dover; 15 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15 in Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home, 106 W. Sunset Ave., Greensboro, where friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14. Interment will be in Greensboro Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Camden-Wyoming Moose #203, 760 Moose Lodge Road, Camden, DE 19934.
