Theresa G. Cooper, 86

DOVER - Theresa G. Cooper, of Dover, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2008, in Capitol Nursing Home, Dover, surrounded by her loving family. She was 86.

Theresa was born Aug. 11, 1921, in Hoboken, N.J., daughter of the late Mario and Grace (DeAngelo) Gizio.

She worked as a seamstress.

Her hobbies included jigsaw puzzles, dancing and singing.

Theresa enjoyed going to Evergreen Day Care, where she enjoyed crafting.

She will be remembered for her bright and contagious smile.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Cooper.

Theresa is survived by three children, Carol Georgia and her husband Ron of Phoenix, Linda Byrnes and her husband Charles of Harrington and Stephen Cooper and his wife Alice of Coral Springs, Fla.; two grandchildren, John Syvertsen of Staten Island, N.Y., and Amanda Cooper of Coral Springs; a sister, Edith Miller of Staten Island; several nieces and nephews; and two poms, Lucky and Rusty.

A viewing will be from 5 to 7 tonight in the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Cypress Hills Cemetery, Brooklyn, N.Y.

Instead of flowers, donations may be sent to Catholic Charities-Casa San Francisco, P.O. Box 38, Milton, DE 19968; or Delaware Hospice, 911 S. DuPont Highway, Dover, DE 19901.
