MILFORD - Thelma Marie Maclary Pardee, age 88, died on Friday, July 24, 2009, at the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. She was born on Nov. 11, 1920, the 4th child of William Henry Maclary and Florence Handsberry Maclary of Leipsic. She graduated from John Bassett Moore High School, Smyrna, class of 1940. Thelma worked for the Corporation Trust Company for 13 years and the Department of Motor Vehicle for 22 and a half years retiring in February 1986. She attended Roby United Methodist Church of Leipsic. Thelma was a member of the Leipsic Ladies Auxiliary Fire Company. She was the wife of William James Pardee, Sr. who preceded her in death January 1968. Thelma was also preceded in death by four siblings, Katherine Maclary, William Franklin Maclary, Evelyn Reynolds, and Naomi Pepper. Mourning her death are her sisters, Ruth Pepper, and Marian Yerkie of Dover; her children, Patricia Ann Prince and her husband James David Prince of Kingsport, Tenn., and William James Pardee Jr. of Dover; and her granddaughters, Suzanne Elizabeth Prince and Jennifer Leah Prince of Tennessee. Friends may call at 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 28, in the Trader Funeral Home Inc., 12 Lotus Street, Dover, where funeral services will be 11 a.m. Burial will be at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden. In lieu of flowers, contribution can be made to Delaware Hospice, 911 South Dupont Highway, Dover, DE 19901 or Comcare Inc., P.O. Box 1885, Greenville, TN 37744.
