Thelma Louise Wilson

CHESTERTOWN, Md. - Thelma Louise Wilson of Chestertown, died Dec., 1, 2010, in Chestertown Nursing and Rehab, Chestertown. Mrs. Wilson was born on January 3, 1916, in Cliff City, daughter of the late Nathaniel and Edith Knox Brown. A lifetime resident of Kent County where she raised her family and was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, the Chestertown Homemakers, the Women's group at Busic Church and volunteered at the Mental Health Center. She enjoyed visits with her great-grandchildren and going places with them. She is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence T. Wilson, Jr. in 1984; a grandson, David Edward Townsend; son-in-law, Walter 'Feetsie' Moffett; seven siblings, Noble Knox Brown, Elizabeth Weisler, Violet Smith, Evelyn Everett, Catherine Nichols, Anna Mae Benjamin and Omar Thompson. Mrs. Wilson is survived by her daughters, Joyce L. Townsend and her husband Sonny and Patricia R. Moffett of Chestertown; five grandchildren, Lex, Ray and Debbie Townsend, Reggie and Robbie Moffett; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m on Tues., Dec. 7, 2010 in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, MD, where friends may call 1 hour prior. Burial in Chester Cemetery, Chestertown. Memorials may be offered to Christ United Methodist Church, 401 High St. Chestertown, MD. 21620. www.galenafuneralhomeofsls.com
