HARRINGTON - Thelma L. Butler, 71, of Harrington, died on Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2011, at Milford Memorial Hospital. She was born on Sept. 21, 1939, in Lewes, to the late Lewis W. Everett and Martha (Legates) Derrickson. Thelma worked for Kent General Hospital, the Harrington Shirt Factory and at Peoples Restaurant for several years. In addition to her parents Thelma was preceded in death by her brothers Lewis (Dickie) Everett and Thomas (Tuck) Derrickson and sister Thomasena Golden. She is survived by her husband Willis Butler; three children Marsha Kemp, Lewis Butler and Paula Farrell and her husband Paul; son-in-law Ace Wethington, sisters Esther Wirth, Josephine Parsons and Barbara Lane and brother Paul (Herbie) Everett; and 6 grandchildren Alexa Wethington, Christina Butler, Meghan Holland, Matthew Farrell, Macy Farrell and Mackenzie Farrell. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 6, 2011, at the McKnatt, Carpenter & Baker Funeral Home, 50 Commerce Street, Harrington, where friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.
