Thelma Jean Strotman, 66

RIDGELY, Md. - Thelma Jean Strotman, of Ridgely, died Monday, March 23, 2009, in Memorial Hospital in Easton. She was 66. She was born in Knox, Pa., on Aug. 28, 1942, she was the daughter of the late William Eugene and Twila Viola Hartzel Bell. Mrs. Strotman was a seasonal worker for Friel's Cannery in Queenstown. She loved working in her flower garden and going to yard sales. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her two sons, Rusty Biehl and wife Roxanne of Stevensville, and Ronald L. Strotman Jr. of Greensboro; four daughters, Robin Tarburton and fiancé Mike of Ridgely, Cindy Kelly of Ellendale, Del., Carol Sparks of Ridgely, and Nancy Gallion and husband Thomas of Ridgely; two sisters, Esther Woolston of Ocala, Fla., and Gladys Cooper of Knox, Pa.; two nieces, Julie Whitlieng and Brenda Thompson both of Knox, Pa.; sister-in-law, Norma Strotman of Easton; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald in 2005; and her two brothers, Samuel Bell and Junior Bell. Visitation will be held at Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home, P.A on Friday from 3 to 5 p.m. Services Friday, March 27, 2009, at 4:30 p.m., from Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home, Greensboro.
