CAMDEN - Teresa Kay Mitchell, of Camden, passed away Nov. 8, 2011, at 11:33 p.m. She was 54. She was born in Dover, to Jean Failing and the late Raymond Failing. Mrs. Mitchell had been a stay-at-home mom and more recently a dedicated wife and grandmother. She enjoyed tending her flowers and garden, crocheting, and loved all animals. Her biggest joy was spending time with her three grandchildren who were her life. She often played kickball, baseball and basketball with them. She would do whatever they chose with a smile on her face. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sister, Lori Denise Jellife; and Jordan the family dog, who was a huge part of the family. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Rodney Mitchell Jr. of Camden; daughter, Kimberley Waite and her husband Johnny Waite and their three children, Chase Matthew, Alexa Jean and Lainey Marie Waite, all of Camden; her brother, Jiggs Failing and his wife Wendy of Hartly; sisters, Robin Case of Felton, Leslie Betts and her husband Jim of Viola; and nephew, Adam Case of Philadelphia, Pa. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family strongly suggests contributions be made to the Kent County SPCA, 32 Shelter Circle, Camden, DE 19934. Letters of condolences can be sent via
