Sylvia L. Leinbach, 76 MILLSBORO - Sylvia L. Leinbach, age 76, of Millsboro, formerly of Topton, Pa., passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, July 16, 2010, at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes. Mrs. Leinbach was born in West Reading, Pa., on Dec. 25, 1933, daughter of the late Daniel H. and Deborah (Hartline) McCoy. After graduating from Mt. Penn High School, Sylvia went to work for Bell of Pennsylvania retiring as a Supervisor in Dial Administration in 1984 after 33 years of service. After retiring to Delaware she enjoyed the water especially boating with her loving husband. She was a member of the Homeowners Association of Bay City and the Verizon Telecom Pioneers-Reading Club. Sylvia was also a member of Groome United Methodist Church in Lewes. Even though she was a member for a short time, at the church she was welcomed warmly by the congregation. She touched the lives of many who knew her and will be sadly missed by all. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald R. Leinbach in 2002. She is survived by three brothers, Richard D. McCoy and his wife Marion of Reading, Pa., Eugene E. McCoy and his wife Marlene of Lewes, and Terrence H. McCoy and his wife Joyce of Birdsboro, Pa.; brother-in-law, Kenneth R. Leinbach and his wife Marie of Elizabethtown, Pa.; and her loving nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 20, 2010, at the Groome United Methodist Church, 600 Savannah Rd. and Dewey Ave., Lewes, DE 19958. Interment will be in Reading, Pa. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Sylvia's name to Groome U.M. Church or to the SPCA, 22918 DuPont Blvd., Georgetown, DE 19947.
