Sylvia J. Hobbs

CLAYTON - Sylvia J. Hobbs, of Clayton, passed away on Monday, April 11, 2011, at Pinnacle Health Care, Smyrna. She was 70. Mrs. Hobbs was born Dec. 12, 1940, in Addison, N.Y. She was a homemaker who enjoyed crocheting and she was a member of the Kenton Senior Center. Mrs. Hobbs enjoyed being a military wife of her husband, Richard Leon Hobbs of Clayton. She is also survived by her daughter, Lee Ann Boyd, her husband Chuck, and their two children, all living in Alabama; a brother, Douglas Strait and his wife Shev of Vienna, Va.; and two sisters, Lois Kleave of Holly, N.Y., and Marsha Peters of Painted Post, N.Y. A memorial service will be 3 p.m., Wednesday, April 20, 2011, in the Faries Funeral Chapel located on 29 S. Main St., Smyrna, where friends may call at 2 p.m. Burial will be private.
