Dickerson Broderick, 92
DOVER - We announce the death of Mrs. Sylvia Dickerson Broderick, which sad event occurred on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at the BayHealth Kent General Hospital in Dover, Delaware.
Born in Liberia, studied home arts and fashion design in New York, she moved to and established residence in the United States in the early Nineties due to the then on-going civil war in Liberia. She lived with her children and later the Silver Lake nursing home.
Viewing of the mortal remains of Mrs. Broderick is from 6 to 8 PM at the Bennie Smith Funeral Parlor at 717 West Division Street on Friday, September 15, 2023, and on Saturday, September 16, 2023, from 9 to 10 at the Calvary Church, 1141 E. Lebanon Road, Dover, DE 19901, where the Funeral Services will proceed immediately after the viewing, beginning at 10:00 AM. Internment follows the service at the Holy Cross Cemetery at Clara Street and North New Street. Thereafter, the family welcomed all guests and sympathizers to the repast of delicious food.
May the late Mrs. Broderick rest in peace, and may light perpetual shine on her.
