'Sue', 80 CHESTERTOWN - Suzanne T. Quinn, 'Sue' died August 28, 2014 in Washington Hospital Center. Sue was born on June 22, 1934 in Philadelphia, Pa., daughter of the late Joseph and Mildred Sara Berry Thompson. She was a graduate of Overbrook High School in 1952 and began her career with Bulletin Newspaper. At the age of 19 she married Daniel Quinn, Jr, became a homemaker, assisting in the family farming operations in Kennedyville. She worked for Fleetwood & McBeth Insurance Co. in the mid 60's and William E. Anthony Electric and Plumbing in the mid 70's until she began her 29 year career as a School Bus Contractor and Driver for Kent County ending in 1999. She worked summers 1992 to 1997 for Upper Shore Aging and continued working for 6 years at Lamotte Chemical, retiring in 2006. Sue was a member of Kennedyville United Methodist Church where she served as treasurer, trustee, board member, MYF Leader, Bible and Sunday School Teacher, and the United Methodist Women. She was a life member of Galena Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, a past Secretary of the Kent County School Bus Contractors and a member of Kent County Retired School Personnel Association. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Daniel Quinn, Jr. and a granddaughter, Mindy L. Miller. Sue is survived by five children, Carol A. Quinn of Newark, Del., Suzie Miller (Bunk) of Kennedyville, Donnie Quinn (Brenda) of Chestertown, Danny Quinn III (Vickie) of Chestertown and Joe Quinn (Dorothy) of Townsend, Del.; a brother, Joseph A. Thompson of Galena, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A viewing will be held on Thursday, September 4th from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, MD. Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 5 at 11 am in Kennedyville United Methodist Church, Kennedyville. Burial in Kennedyville Cemetery. Memorials may be offered to Kennedyville United Methodist Church Building Fund or Kennedyville Cemetery Fund c/o Galena Funeral Home. www.galenafuneralhomeofsls.com
