Staff and volunteers from Sussex and New Castle County Habitat for Humanity traveled to Guatemala in February for a Global Village trip.

Teams worked in the villages of Chimaltenango and Ciénaga Grande alongside partner families, with coordination from Hábitat para la Humanidad Guatemala.

Projects included the installation of concrete flooring, smokeless stoves and sanitary latrines.

Global Village is a program with Habitat for Humanity that connects volunteers with partner families from around the world to build or improve homes for families in need, essentially providing a chance to contribute to housing projects in areas with limited resources.
