Sussex County Council returns in November

Posted

GEORGETOWN — The Sussex County Council does not have a meeting set for Oct. 28, but returns on Nov. 4 with several public hearings on the Cool Spring Crossing proposal scheduled.

Cool Spring Crossing’s site plan includes 727 single-family homes, 216 duplexes, 144 quads, 384 villas, 203 town homes and 300 apartments, plus a grocery store, restaurants, a hotel, a YMCA and a theater.

A full agenda isn’t required until the week before a meeting, so other topics considered during this session remain unknown at this time.

Public hearings generally take place last and usually start in the afternoon. The hearings open with a presentation by the developer making its case for approval, which often takes an hour or more to complete.

The council has also given itself off on Nov. 11 and Nov. 25.
