GEORGETOWN — Sussex Central High’s wrestling team finished what it started the day before on Saturday.

The Golden Knights won three individual titles before capturing the Henlopen Conference tournament championship on Saturday evening on their home floor.

Division I dual-meet state champion Sussex Central totaled 240.5 points to out-distance second-place Smyrna (190) and third-place Cape Henlopen (187).

The Vikings also had three individual champions. Seven different schools had at least one champion with Smyrna, Lake Forest and Laurel all adding two.

The wrestlers who won individual titles on Saturday were:

Cape Henlopen — Austin Guerrieri (106), Nicolas Walker (144) and Patrick Donahue (215).
Sussex Central — Malachi Stratton (120), Evan Cordrey (132) and Gabe Cannon (175).
Lake Forest — Jerusalem Howard (138) and Nurrideen Ahmad-Statts (157).
Laurel — Stanley Pete (150) and Joseph Baynard (265).
Smyrna — Ian Alfree (113) and Jesse Dixon (165).
Caesar Rodney — Trevor Copes (126).
Milford — Jordan Curry (190).
