Susie G. Remus, 84 WYOMING - Susie G. Remus, of Wyoming, passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2008, in the Milford Center. She was 84. She was born on March 19, 1924, in Woodside, daughter of the late Thomas and Bertha (Wright) Rash. Susie enjoyed life as a homemaker. Her hobbies included cooking, housekeeping, upholstering, sewing and canning the fruits of her labor from her garden. Susie loved spending time with family and friends. She was a member of Wyoming United Methodist Church and also attended Woodside United Methodist Church. Susie enjoyed volunteering during fundraisers for the American Heart Association. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Carl S. Remus in 1994. She is survived by two sons, Carl S. "Bud" Remus and his wife Barbara of Camden, and Thomas W. Remus and his wife Rene of Wyoming; two daughters, Patsy Ann VandeVrede and her husband Kent of Hutsonville, Mich., and Karen R. Barnes of Dover; a sister, Pauline Watson of Dover; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Sunday in the Pippin Funeral Home, Wyoming. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden. Instead of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. Dupont Hwy., Dover, DE 19901; or Debbie Sipple Fund for Animals. Letters of condolences may be sent via www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
