Susan Marie Wertz, 62 HARTLY - Susan Marie Wertz, 62, of Hartly, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Feb. 18, 2010. Susan was employed for 20 years by Bank of America and most recently at Incorporated Services where she had many good friends. She was a member of Calvary Assembly of God Church in Dover. Her relationship with God was always her first love. She enjoyed many good times shopping. Besides her parents, Doris and Russell Sheraton, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gary W. Wertz Sr. Susan is survived by her son, Gary S. Wertz Jr. of Hartly; a daughter, Susan Marie Wertz Gleason of Felton; a sister, Nancy Woodall and her husband Reese of Spring Hill, Fla.; a brother, Russell Sheraton of Drexel Hill, Pa.; grandchildren, Stephanie Breeding, Ashley, Tiffany and Matthew Wertz. She will be missed by all who knew her especially her dear friends, Carolyn Smenkowski, and Ron and Gloria Saatman. Services will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 23, at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may gather one hour earlier. Burial will follow in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover. In lieu of flowers, Susan wishes were for contributions to Calvary Assembly of God, Delaware Hospice or the American Cancer Society. Letters of condolences can be sent via www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
