Stephen Elliott Saveikis

SEAFORD - Stephen Elliott Saveikis passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford with his loving family at his side.
Stephen was born in Seaford on Feb. 27, 1983, graduating from Seaford High School in 2001, where he played soccer and scored Seaford High School's historic first goal in a state soccer tournament. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Agronomy and Environmental Science from Delaware Valley College in Doylestown, Pa. in 2005. Stephen was employed as an agronomist with M. Davis Farms of Georgetown.
Stephen had a passion for and excelled at farming, specializing in pest management and precision agriculture technology. He was an avid angler, hunter and boater, always in search of and finding adventure. He had a huge heart, always helping family and friends and had a special sense of humor that provided endless smiles and laughter. His beloved and faithful yellow Labrador retriever, Shell, was ever at his side.
Stephen was an organ donor, and his generosity lives on through his selfless gifts of life to others.
Stephen is survived by his mother and father Nancy (Clark) and David Saveikis of Seaford, a sister Lauren, paternal grandparents Pranas and Evelyn Saveikis of Hebron, Maryland, maternal grandmother Edwina (Taylor) Davis and step-grandfather Richard Davis of Powellville, Md., a paternal aunt Lisa Burrow and her husband Robert and cousins Aaron and Andrew of Jessup, Md., a maternal aunt Cathy Clark of Parsonsburg, Md., and a cousin Sarah Myer of Fredrick, Md. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Robert L. Clark.
Services will be held Tuesday, May 16 at Cranston Funeral Home, 300 N. Shipley St., Seaford, with public visitation from 3-5 p.m. and the service beginning at 5 p.m. A private interment will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Stephen Saveikis Nanticoke Wildlife Area Habitat Fund, c/o PNC Bank, 1200 Stein Hwy, Seaford, DE 19973.
