Posted

Stephanie Denise Boyd (Holden) of Dover, Delaware, entered eternal rest on September 19, 2025, surrounded by her daughters and family. Born on April 19, 1959, in Dover to William L. and Ernestine J. Holden, she was a lifelong resident of the area and a graduate of Dover High School.
Stephanie accepted Christ early in life at Mt. Zion AME Church and later worshiped at Solid Rock Baptist Church, where she was active in outreach missions. Known for her compassion, she devoted much of her life to caring for children with special needs, working at various facilities and later as a paraeducator at John S. Charlton School in the Caesar Rodney School District until her retirement in 2022.
Stephanie’s career also included time as a flight attendant and pharmacy technician. She married the love of her life, Ronald Boyd, on June 20, 1992, and together they raised two daughters, Briana Tyler and Kayla Imani, who were the joy of her life.
She enjoyed traveling, theater, beach vacations, and celebrating Christmas with her family. Her warmth, generosity, and love for her family - especially her nieces and nephews, will be deeply missed.
Stephanie is survived by her daughters Briana and Kayla; parents William and Ernestine Holden; siblings Beverly Weathersby, Jacqueline Dixon, Judith Nixon, Linda Senor (Kevin), and William Holden III (Linda); mother-in-law Juanita Boyd; brother-in-law Edward Boyd (Monica); maternal aunt Clynthia Flanigan and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
A public visitation will be held from 10am to 11am on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Union Baptist Church located at 883 Lincoln Street, Dover, DE 19904, where a funeral service will begin at 11am. Interment will follow at Sharon Hill Memorial Park.
