Stephanie Ann Thomas Young, 48 SMYRNA - Stephanie Ann Thomson Young, of Smyrna, passed away Friday, July 18, 2008, after a courageous battle with cancer in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 48. She was born on Sept. 16, 1959, in Dover. Mrs. Young served her country proudly in the Delaware National Guard. She was working at Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover as a nurse casually and full-time at Delaware Heart and Vascular, Dover. Mrs. Young enjoyed fishing, crabbing and spending time with family. She was a member of the American Legion Post 14 and various nursing organizations. Mrs. Young is survived by her husband of 21 years, Thomas Young; three sons, Justin T. , Daniel and Ryan F. Young all of Smyrna; her mother, Winifred Talemal and her husband Bob of Ocean View; her father, Floyd A. Thomson Jr. of Felton; two brothers, Charles F.E. Thomson of Dover and Jason H. Talemal of Felton; a sister Amy Suzane Allen of Texas; grandmother Dorothy Floyd of Dover, several nieces, nephews, many great friends and her special friends Mocha, Pocco and Jade. A gathering to celebrate and reflect on Mrs. Young's life will be 7 p.m. Friday, in the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming. Friends may begin to gather at 6 p.m. Instead of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. DuPont Highway, Dover, DE 19901.
