WYOMING, Del. - Stanley Wayne Anthony, Sr., "Stumpy" passed away on February 2, 2022 at home in Wyoming, Del. Stumpy was born on September 3,1934 in Greensboro, Md., the son of William Henry & Susie M. Anthony.
Mr. Anthony graduated from Greensboro High School and served our country in the United States Army. He was the co-owner of Anthony's Restaurant in Wyoming, Del. Stanley also retired from the Kent County Court of Chancery where he managed the court office. He enjoyed spending winters in Florida with his wife Christine. The two also traveled most of the United States together.
He was preceded in death by his parents; seven brothers; four sisters; and his granddaughter, Tara.
He is survived by his wife of almost 69 years, Christine; son, Wayne (Cheryl); two grandchildren, Allen & Beth; a brother, Lewis; his extended family and friends.
A funeral service for Stumpy will take place on Friday, February 11, 2022, 11 a.m. at Pippin Funeral Home, Wyoming, Del.; where friends may call beginning at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden, Del.
Memorials may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice.
