Stanley J. Stachecki Jr., 74 DOVER - Stanley J. Stachecki Jr., 74, of Dover, passed away Tuesday April 12, 2011, at Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. He was born on Aug, 5, 1936, in South Hampton, Long Island, to the late Stanley and Anna Balnis Stachecki Sr. Stanley moved to Delaware in the 1950's and worked on the family farm. Later he worked at Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital and retired after 36 years of service. He will be remembered for his insightful personality and harmless practical jokes. He loved to deer hunt and watch the Philadelphia Eagles. He was a loving grandfather to all of his grandchildren and enjoyed coffee in the morning with his buddies. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judith S. Hughes Stachecki in 2003; a sister, Mary Ann Kinney; and his granddaughter, Scarlet Amara Morris. Stanley had special friends, Kenny and Eileen Adrience, and Theron and Mary Boots. He is survived by sons, John Stachecki, Steven Stachecki, Stan Stachecki, III; loving companion, Trinity L. Cooke; brother and his wife, Michael and Jane Stachecki; stepchildren, Terry Elliott, Michael Cox, Kellye Dempsey; grandchildren, Cole Stachecki, William Cooke, Gregory Dempsey, Amy Dempsey, Alex Dempsey, Rachel Cox, and Sarah Elliott. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the March of Dimes or American Heart Association.
