Sr. Maria Teresa Borlaza, SITH 52 DOVER - Sr. Maria Teresa Borlaza, of the Secular Institute of the Two Hearts, died Monday, July 14, 2008 in Bay Health Medical Center, Dover. She was 52. Born Myrna C. Borlaza in the Philippines, she was the daughter of the late Marcial Borlaza and Trinidad Coligavo Borlaza. Sr. Borlaza had received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications and had given her life to serve as a missionary. She had served in Los Angeles, Calif., for over five years prior to being assigned to Dover in 2000 as local superior of the community. Sr. Borlaza leaves behind the countless people whose life she touched along with her two sisters, Emmaculada Borlaza of Makati, Philippines and Elizabeth Fuentes of Broken Arrow, Okla. Friends my call Friday starting at 1 p.m. in Holy Cross Church, S. State St., Dover, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 6 p.m. Burial will be on the Convent grounds of Coriesu Mariae Foundation in the Philippines. Donations in her memory can be forwarded to the Secular Institute of the Two Hearts, 76 Sackarakin Ave., Dover, DE 19901. Arrangements by Michael J. Ambruso Funeral Director, Inc., Dover.
