The Delaware State Fair kicked off Thursday with 10 days of celebrating the First State’s agriculture. You can walk through poultry and livestock barns, view cooking demonstrations, visit an antique machinery showcase, enjoy the nightly parade and more. This year also celebrates the 100th anniversary of the Delaware chicken industry and includes a commercial poultry house exhibit and a virtual reality tour of a chicken farm. What are your favorite agricultural displays or events at the fair?

- We love the horses and cows and also the smells of the food. I liked it better when it was dirt, rather than blacktop. I remember thunderstorms and everyone getting under the grandstand and having to take our shoes off because of all the standing water. Of course, we were children. — Beth Collins
- We love the goats. Sheep. And horses. Love all the horse competitions. Can’t wait. — Denise Sloboda Deskiewicz
- Goats and sheep. Fun to watch! — Vincent Deskiewicz
