Speak Up: ChristianaCare employees rally against vaccine mandate
Posted
At least 350 people gathered outside the west entrance of ChristianaCare’s Christiana Hospital on Saturday to protest a recent vaccine mandate for employees of the health care provider. A statement released Saturday morning from ChristianaCare said it did not make the decision to mandate the vaccine lightly but that it is based on the science and facts about the vaccine. ChristianaCare attributes its policy to the spread of new variants.
Crazy how our health care workers took care of all COVID patients from day one of the pandemic without a vaccine and without hesitation and exposed their very own family and loved ones to the virus while doing so. Everyone loved them and applauded them as front-line, essential personnel for taking care of our loved ones. Life is full of choices. If they don’t want to be vaccinated, that’s fine. There are plenty of places hiring where vaccination is not a condition of employment. — Elizabeth Magnani
Amazing how these same people you were calling heroes months ago when they were working without one. And never once did I hear anyone call nurses spreaders. — Christopher Joyce
I still call them heroes. The ones who are vaccinated and the ones who legitimately can’t be due to medical concerns. — Elizabeth Magnani
Yeah, yeah, yeah, good for you. Force your “heroes” into medical procedures they don’t want. Also, most nurses are females. What happened to my body, my choice? — Christopher Joyce
No one is being forced. They are free to choose to be vaccinated or not and to find employment where vaccination is not a condition. See my original post. Life is full of choices. Deciding not to comply with your employer’s conditions is a choice. — Elizabeth Magnani
